Sometimes all one wants is a simple easy-to-use set of eyeshadows not a whole full palette or to carry around 5 different single pots so when I picked this out at the recent Maybelline 100 birthday bash I knew that I would find myself reaching for it fairly often.

It is the perfect mini palette with 6 gorgeous shades, the palette I chose is called Coral Drama which contains the perfect combination of light highlighter shades and darker browns to create a defined eye.

They give easy to follow instructions on how best to use the shades to achieve the perfect neutral smokey eye effect. I am very into brown smokey eyes for the evening as they still offer that intensity but aren’t too dramatic. I am hopeless when it comes to how to apply shades and usually just try to comic the way that makeup artists have previously done my eye makeup but this gives a nice guide and you can play around with the shades without possibly messing up.

As it isn’t highly pigmented the shades can easily be used to create a daytime look and just apply more and blend to darken and intensify your look. Lovely staying power and perfect to take with you when travelling.
