I love to play around with Catrice products and to discover a true gem that will be on a regular re-purchase list of mine. Catrice Greater Than False Lashes is one of my favourite mascaras so I was happy to discover that the new Jet Lash in Ultra Black (R84,95) certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact the two formulas are very similar in my opinion.
The brush is nice and easy to use. Nothing special though. I actually prefer “normal” mascara wands to gimmicky ones and find that they are the most comfortable to apply mascara with.
The Made To Stay Inside Eye Kajal (R49.95) is a total steal at 50 bucks and really does last when applied as an inner liner. I love to use it on the inside but only on the outer corners for an understated feline eye effect. It also doesn’t rub off as easily as some pricier ones on the market.
Velvet Matt Smokey Eyes Pencil (R44.95) glides on with ease and looks great on. I do find myself needing to use either an eyeshadow primer or use a nude eyeshadow underneath first when I use it on my upper lids otherwise it does smudge quite a bit.
Finally we have these two mono beauties… Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in 910 My Mermint and in 900 Li-La Bamba (R49,95 each). I’ll admit I am a boring brown and neutrals girl when it comes to my eyeshadows but the above two are perfect for creating a striking eye. My Mermint is a bold mint shade which looks beautiful on those with blue eyes. It really creates a piercing blue effect. Li-La Bamba is my current favourite and will intensify green and brown eyes. The formula is perfectly pigmented and one mono palette will last a good amount of time.
