Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Review

January 23, 2014 in Beauty, Reviews

The other day a fellow beauty blogger mentioned on Twitter that she had picked up the Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I had been eyeing it for a while but the last few weeks was unable to source it at any of my local Dis-Chem or Pick n Pay stores and thus mentioned this. The fabulous PR team over at Freebees spotted my tweet and promptly sent the duo over for me to test out. They really are an excellent on-the-ball beauty PR company. I was delighted and tested it out immediately.

The packaging is an intense blue similar to other Argan oil products on the market and clearly states on the front that it is sulfate free. For all my readers that have had a Brazilian Blow-out this means that these products are safe to use and at R99.99 each they are a bargain compared to the other Sulfate free shampoos out there.

The shampoo has a wonderful salon fresh scent to it that is delicately light. The formula errs on the side of gel-like consistency and even though it is packed with oils it didn’t weigh down my hair. The keratin, grape seed oil and Argan oil provide a powerful trio to help restore strength, protect from damage and revive shine. The shampoo does not froth a lot but one normal pump of the tube is sufficient to thoroughly cleanse ones hair.

The conditioner is slightly creamier and glides on with ease. It is ultra-hydrating and helps to protect against damage and colour fade. I also liked that it helped to lessen my front frizzy parts. After blow drying my hair felt stronger and was surprisingly voluminous for using oil packed products. Well priced at R99.99 each this will certainly be a repurchase.

I’ve just started using the Moroccan oil products – my sister in law bought some for me – and I LOVE it! The packaging is so cute too!

These products are not recommended for those who had brazilian blow-outs, it will wash the brazilian blow-out from your hair. It has salts in that will strip the brazilian blow-out

This past week I’ve been in hospital. I went in This past week I’ve been in hospital. I went in for an emergency op three weeks ago and then there were complications. Which is why I’ve been so quiet.

Aside, from all of the pain I’ve been going through. I’ve also been stressing about all of the work commitments I’ve missed.

I haven’t put makeup on or even thought about beauty in weeks. I am however so relieved that I chucked these mini’s into my hospital bag. I was able to put this hair mask, from @sorbetgroup, on last night and properly wash my hair. The divine scent helped make me feel slightly more human again. Plus my hair is extremely soft! Although the #Sorbet Dry Shampoo has been superb, it’s all done now though.

It’s amazing how appreciative one is simply by being able to do small things by oneself like wash your own hair or shower by yourself. Okay, a nurse still had to keep check on me but one stiletto at a time...

I was enjoying the simple pleasure of breathing in fresh air, feeling the warmth of the sun and knowing that through all the hardships I have and am still growing. I do finally feel the excitement that comes with a new year. It may not be the 1st of January but it is the first day of an entire year of South Africa working together to help one another, thrive and survive, and that is inspiring and motivating.

I hope that however you celebrated today that it w I hope that however you celebrated today that it was a great one!

Richard and I took it super easy. I got to sleep in, was spoilt with coffee and later an untypical “picnic” and decided to have a little toast with some non-alcoholic @robertsonwinery sparkling wine 🥂. Last weekend I was in ER (Not COVID-19) but still better not to mix meds and alcohol just yet 😊

We then decided to do our own versions of relaxation. Him non-stop sport and for me pampering with face masks and watching YouTube beauty gurus 💕
