Another Essence Perfume Review

Everything Beauty, Fragrance Reviews, Launches, Reviews By Aug 07, 2014

I had previously reviewed two of Essence’s EDT over here. At the recent Cosmetix launch I was given two more to try out… Like A Walk in the Summer Rain and Like a Day in the Candy Shop.

Like A Walk in the Summer Rain is fresh and surprisingly sophisticated scent. I adore the composition of this fragrance with top notes f lemon, orange, cyclamen, aldehyde and watermelon. An aquatic heart of marine notes, lily of the valley, freesia and floral -ozonic accords on base of moss, cedar and musk. This pure and invigorating fragrance is ideal to wear every day.

Like A Day in the Candy Shop contains top notes of peach and orchid with a heart of lilac, jasmine and heliotrope and a base of vanilla, musk and tonka bean. It is fresh and floral and is very similar to Prada Candy. Overall a great floral fragrance but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Available at Clicks and Dischem stores nationwide, the Essence EDT range retails for R109 for 50ml and R59 for a handbag friendly 10ml.
