Elizabeth Arden sent over their new primer for me to test out. The Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer (R365) will be available in department stores from the 14th of March so keep an eye out for it.
I am a complete primer advocate, it makes the world of difference to the overall look of your makeup and really helps to keep ones foundation, contour, strobes etc in place. It is also such a simple step to add to your make-up routine but makes such a massive impact. I have however been quite a Estee Lauder loyalist over the years and always rave about their Mattifying primer. As an oily skinned girl it’s been a must-have but could a primer that promises that you will look 5 years younger finally sway me?
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer promises to create the perfect canvas and smooth uneven texture, diminish the appearance of fine lines, pores and wrinkles all while leaving your skin with a moisturised and radiant glow. The best part is that the formula is also oil-free and non-comedogenic; which means it blends smoothly into the skin and works on all skin types.
It has a slight tint to it but absorbs quickly, they say it’s best to wait 10 seconds before applying your foundation. I really noticed a difference to my T-Zone which is my problem area, the larger pores seemed less visible and even more so once I had applied my regular foundation. Every time I’ve used the primer I have received compliments on my skin’s texture so it must really make a difference. The formula is extremely lightweight which I love and I find it to be quite hydrating too. My skin never feels “clogged” when I wear it. I’ll totally be purchasing this when it runs out.
