Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Look fabulous Doing So!

October 18, 2012 in Beauty
Even though we are already into the middle of October I still feel it is important to share this and there is still plenty of time to get your hands on your own Great Lengths Pink hair extension to show your support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Great Lengths, in conjunction with the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), is donating the profit from the sales of our pink hair extensions for the month of October. Show your support by adding some pink. The Pink extension will cost R100.00.
Visit one of over 250 Great Lengths partner salons countrywide to have your Pink Extensions installed. It takes less than 5 minutes, can stay in your hair for up to 2 months and is easily removed.
For more information visit www.greatlengths.co.za or call (011) 326-1525

oh noooo I love pink extensions, but don’t want people to think I’m doing it for breast cancer awareness, argh so annoying they are doing this! Now lots of people will have them :/

Everyone knows you can get breast cancer, why must there be a month of “Awareness” it’s retarded!!!!
I’m gonna make December “Skin cancer awareness” month because there must be one person out there who doesn’t know about using sunblock….

Chantal- Although everyone may know about breast cancer, awareness helps to raise funds for research in the fight of cancer. Also those who have lost someone special are able to honour their loved ones by showing their support with their extensions.

Some human beings are just genetically predisposed to cancer, also modern diet is filled with hormones, pesiticides etc, people want a quick “cure” for cancer, but they should examine why they got cancer in the first place and use naturally available remedies. I would encourage you and others to read the paper under the link that I pasted, I really believe in it. People are too absorbed by looking to western medicine and medical science to find a cure, when it is possible to already cure cancer. Also, there are soooo many types of cancer, why not just have cancer awareness month, why just focus on breast cancer.

Anyways I still stand by my point that now every loser will have pink hair extensions, hopping on board like sheep. I’ll have to go blue for a while.

WOW!!! I knew that if a place is using @frysfamily WOW!!! I knew that if a place is using @frysfamily products then the results would be good. What I did not expect was arguably the best sushi I have ever had! @johndoryssa you have outdone yourself with this vegan “prawn style” sushi platter. I got it as a takeaway as you can see but I’ll certainly be back very soon for another platter. Now I’m really keen to try the “prawn style” tacos too.

*And yes the Mayo etc is all 100% vegan and so is the “roe”. All plant-based deliciousness💕💕💕

I’m definitely bombarding Instagram today but as I’m definitely bombarding Instagram today but as I mentioned in my previous post, it was my mother’s 70th. The birthday turned into an entire week of celebrations. As I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to see her again, with the ever-changing lockdown levels.

It’s been fun with surprises arriving almost everyday for her. Aside from this gorgeous #Vegan birthday cake from @emmasvegancakes, nothing else was actually a part of the original birthday plans! We were meant to be all on a safari and my sister (from the UK) was meant to be here.

However, we made it as memorable as we could!! Also, the main thing that makes a birthday, a birthday, is birthday cake right??!

Who still thinks that vegan food is just “vegetables” or has to be boring. Going plant-based doesn’t mean missing out on any treats.

This gorgeous & delicious vanilla cake was amazing. It actually reminded us of my granny’s famous family cake. She passed away at 94 and if I recall correctly she was still regularly whipping up those cakes until 90! Although those definitely weren’t vegan.

Be sure to check out @emmasvegancakes professional 100% vegan cake and cupcakes. #supportsmallbusinesses

She is also my best friend. Someone I can talk to about everything and anything, our family truly has no filters!

This year it was even more special just by being able to celebrate with her. Which is why simply spending time with her turned her birthday into a week long celebration! It started on Friday! Mostly due to the fact that being able to spend time this together and physically see her was the biggest blessing. With everything going on in the world right now, to be able to both be healthy and together is all we could of asked for.

To even think of what my sister, who couldn’t fly down from the UK, rest of the family and I had planned for her. Even for all of us from December until now. It all seems so surreal... The world has truly changed. I wish my sister could of been here with us, but she was in a sense as with such a massive birthday bouquet I wouldn’t of been surprised if she was hidden in there!

This summer heat is definitely making the days fee This summer heat is definitely making the days feel far longer. Also, since doing both #Veganuary2021 and the @RushTush Vegan Glow Cleanse, prepping food in advance has become a part of my routine. No more rushing to make quickly make something or quickly ordering a takeaway. This means healthier and more filling meals. So usually at this time it’s simply snack time. Fresh pineapple is a favourite. I sometimes even ice mine!

I have so many personal posts I want to write but am also afraid of sharing. Especially at a time when it seems like everything brings out the “ugly” in people. Anyone else feeling the same?

Oh just casually forcing my fur kids to love me!!! Oh just casually forcing my fur kids to love me!!!

Just kidding, they usually the ones begging for love. @candi_onewoofatatime sleeps on my feet as in on. To trap me or on my actual head. @oneroccoatatime also tries to do the “on mummy’s head” move even though he weighs 32kg. Or he sleeps alongside us like a real big boy that snores. They the most amazing little souls and have helped me through so many tough mental health times.

Yes, we allow our dogs on the bed. They are actually cleaner than most humans 💕

Should have of course posted these last night but Should have of course posted these last night but hey the evening was SO crazy!! Haha actually it was a total bust. Arguing over midnight music, weird tasting cocktails and hangry as my pizzas were taking too long. But we were together and alive so I guess that’s a plus. Tried to create a “holiday” vibe with whatever I could find around the house.
