About three weeks back I received an awesome press pack from Revlon introducing their latest innovation.. Colorstay Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel. At the time I had just had a Gelish manicure so I patiently waited to try it, this was also a good thing as I wanted to test how long it lasted compared to actual gel nails.
Out of the shades I was given (there are over 16 limited edition shades and 15 basic shades including the Diamond Top Coat) I thought let’s go all in and try undoubtedly the hardest shade to last, the pure white shade 510 Sure Thing. This shade is fortunately part of the basic shades line so it will be a permanent.
White nails have always been so appealing to me but boy, oh boy are they high maintenance. I have tried more variants then I can’t count on both hands and was left disappointed with each and every one. White nails have a tendency to chip within hours let alone days so I resolved to only wear white on my nails if it was gel. After having the gelish removed I painted on the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Longwear Nail Enamel. Another interesting thing about this range is that there is no need for a separate base coat. The colour itself contains a base coat within it meaning the whole process dries much faster then a three-step polish would. Just make sure that you apply the Diamond Top Coat over.
I am beyond impressed with this product! It lasted a full 7 days before one small chip on my thumbnail occurred, I was opening a wrapper at the time which may have contributed to chipping it. The application is a breeze and two coats is all that is required for even solid coverage, with white this can be impossibly hard.
My nails looked and felt glossy which means that it really does live up to the Gel Envy part of its name. Another thing I really liked is that my colour remained solid and didn’t “shatter”. Sometimes when you keep a polish on for longer than 5 days I find fine lines within the colour. Anyone else experience these? Well, with Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy it remained a pure white throughout.
I am so happy to have discovered this product and can’t wait to try out the others shades that I received. Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Lacquer retails for R110 and is available at selected department stores and pharmacies nationwide.

I’m such a nail polish girl & I absolutely adore white nail polish. I’ve wanted to try this product for a while now, but didn’t want to spend money on such a hyped up product, but your review is flawless. I just might have to pick up a bottle or two, especially this color!
