About two weeks ago I received the Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow cleanser to try out, I had just finished my Nimue review period and wasn’t expecting a new cleanser to make much of an impact.
I had been keen to try out the Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow face wash because even though it is designed for pregnant ladies (which I’m definitely not), it helps balance ones skin and prevent hormonal blemishes. Hormonal breakouts are a monthly occurrence for me and I’ve yet to experience a product that can keep them at bay. That is until testing out Gorgeous Glow.
A little bit too much TMI but the testing of the product conveniently fell into my period week and towards the end of it I suddenly realised my skin had not had a single breakout during this time. In fact it looked clearer and smoother especially around my usual problem area, my chin. I’ll be sticking with this cleanser during my PMS week from now on out! So how could a simple face wash keep something I’ve been battling with away…
It fights blemishes with safe (remember Mio has a serious no nasties policy), gentle exfoliants and tea tree extracts. It also balances the skin with probiotics and omegas. I feel that the probiotic element really helped and is what distinguishes this cleanser from other blemish focused facial washes on the market. Even though the name might deter some, it can be used by men, women and even teenagers. In fact I’d highly recommend this to teens with regular breakouts and blackheads.
The added lactic acid really helps to exfoliate as well as reduce inflammation. It definitely left my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed but never tight or stripped of moisture.
