Time to review some makeup trends to look forward to this Spring from the MAC team. Last week I attended their preview and really liked two of the looks. It was at the Industrial setting of the Old Biscuit Mill in Cape Town.
The super adorable senior makeup artist Michelle-Lee Collins showed us how to do each look.
The first was the Nouv-eau which was all about the innocent romantic look, think subtle blush, pastel eyes and shades of red lipsticks. The models wore beautiful simple, flowing dresses by Abigail Betz for this look.
Next up was Ath-Elite which was all about dewy, wet-effect skin and dramatic eyebrows. The models look very striking and I feel this will look great in editorials not so much in real everyday life.
Ore-Inspired is a lovely trend that will suit every skin colour and subtle metallics work well for the day or night. It is all about metallics accentuating eyes, lips and cheeks in a way to reference a summer tan.
The final look was Neo-n a playful, vibrant colour palette that fits in well with the Spring clothing trends this year.
I loved how the pink and blue eyeshadows really made this models blue eyes pop without looking too sixties.
