John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner Reviews

Everything Beauty, Reviews By Aug 20, 2014

I recently impulse dyed my hair myself. I was reading about how you could mix two shades of box dyes together to achieve a more natural look. I have been after a more natural golden blonde look for a while now so thought “what the heck, why not”. I mixed up one 9 Natural light beige blonde dye with half of a lower level 8 medium ash blonde and it actually worked. I finally got the shade I was looking for! Now to keep it shiny and to keep the highlights golden was the quest.

I was given a big box of goodies from John Frieda and in it was a Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner which promises to moisturise ones hair as well as provide a mega-watt golden shine without adding or depositing colour. This was important for me as most blonde shampoos deposit ash tones which can make ones hair look dull and lack luster after time (ash is also notoriously difficult to get out of ones hair).

All I can say is I love this shampoo and conditioner duo and are now my Holy Grail hair products. They definitely help to add immense shine and my highlights are visibly more golden.

My hair naturally tends to get quite oily but none of John Frieda’s product ever cause buildup or grease. My hair stays cleaner for at least a day longer than with other brands. While I used their Volume shampoo and conditioner for some time I was happy discover that the Sheer Blonde range also provides some volume and hair looks sleek but never flat. It also makes your hair super soft and smells divine. I am completely sold!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner retail for R95 each for 250ml and are available from Clicks Stores Nationwide.
