The event ran from 3-8pm in the afternoon a wonderful chilled band played and later when the reds were brought out the smoother sounds of jazz and saxophones wafted through the air.
Truth coffee is always there to revive you and I enjoyed an utterly delicious cappuccino before heading around to taste the red wine selection.
Eagles Nest who thoroughly impressed me with both their Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier had a treat for those at the festival as they brought along one of only fifty Shiraz 2010 Magnums made. It was very interesting to compare it with the normal-sized bottle from the same year. Both had divine complexity and a scrumptious nose and the magnum offers great foresight into how well the Shiraz 2010 will still age.
Other estates that impressed me were Shannon Wines Pinot Noir 2011 and Constantia Glen 2008 Red blend Three.
After a wonderful day filled with plenty of wine, canapes and fun the shots became a little blurry and yes I am on my second cup of coffee!
