While here in the Southern hemisphere we are heading into a hopefully hot and long Summer those in the Northern hemisphere are packing away the floral prints and dainty dresses and are gearing up for colder days so this look post is for you guys. Although in all fairness Cape Town is notoriously temperamental and around this time one day can be spent tanning on the beach and the next it is snowing on all the mountains so being prepared for a possible chill is always a good idea. Sometimes I feel that Cape Town and expression through fashion have this juxtaposition in common, on days when you feel girly and bursting with happiness then you can indulge in bright feminine skater skirts and dainty heels other days are gloomy and harsh which require your clothing to provide some kind of external protection (both emotionally and physically).
Beanies are once again big this season and they are ideal for covering up any visible or oily roots as well as adding an extra element to your outfit. Beanies unlike most other hats actually draw attention to your eyes so play up your eyeshadow a bit more than usual to get the full effect.
