The passion that is present at Durbanville Hills is clearly visible. Not only is the wine farm and its views exquisite but the farm wants you to feel a part of it. The small details with so much meaning can be seen throughout the restaurant, tasting area, wine labels. Everything is special and has a meaning.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the initial private Durbanville Hills Collectors Reserve tasting and was able to meet the wine-makers themselves. It was a fun and informative experience. One which in a way is now accessible to everyone.
Durbanville Hills has created an intimate food and wine pairing experience featuring their Collectors Reserve wines. This premium offering is made up of seven wine and platter food pairings, specially crafted by the winemakers and chefs to showcase the range’s versatility.
It’s extremely well-priced at R295.00 per person, guests will get to enjoy a private cellar tour with a wine specialist, a unique Collectors Reserve interactive experience, as well as the platter food pairing with all seven of the Collectors Reserve wines.
Upon departure, visitors will also receive a bottle of their favourite Collectors Reserve wine to take home. I had a tough time deciding as I love their Chenin Blanc and Merlot but decided to choose the Cabernet Sauvignon.
