Ermenegildo Zegna Men’s Fragrance Reviews

I recently attended the launch of the exciting new male fragrances by Ermenegildo Zegna. The launch was set at a beautiful penthouse in town.

While sipping on champagne and delicious treats we got to hear more about this sexy Italian luxury brand which was founded in 1910. Their line launched in South Africa on the 13th of May so you might have seen the ads and in-store promotions or may have even purchased a bottle for the man in your life already, if not here are my thoughts on their fragrances…

Uomo is there latest addition. I love the look of this bottle and my first thought was of a sky high New York building filled with Harvey Specter type men. A strong seductive scent which is the ideal fit for a man who likes to take charge and who knows where he is heading. There is a very deep sensual base of vetiver and cedarwood but with vibrant zesty notes of bergamot.

My other favourite from the bunch is Z Zegna, which is such a delicious hypnotic scent. Very fresh and clean this is for Mr tall, dark and handsome city type of guy. With an indulgent base of cashmere, wood and patchouli the crisp notes of white pepper, iris and rosemary makes for a very interesting intriguing blend. I also love the little added touch of the magnetic lid to the Z Zegna bottle.

Zegna Forte has a dark ombre’d bottle. This is a lot lighter then the other two scents and has a sweeter undertone. Strong vanilla, pink peppercorns and lemon notes layered with a lighter base of musk and sandalwood. I really liked how one could actually pick up each note and admittedly I would wear this scent myself. It has a really clean sweet scent and is very refreshing.

Zegna Intenso is the more oriental of all the scents with green mandarin, cardamom and pink peppercorn. It comes of delicately spicy and quite fruity without ever becoming too sweet. This is perfect for a sporty man and even though it is called Intenso it is rather light.
