To celebrate Heritage Day (24th September) I have another awesome giveaway from Zuri. Zuri selected six local bloggers and appointed each with a colour from the SA flag. Green was chosen for me and the first thought associated with our abundant heritage and linked to this colour was to focus on celebrating our winelands. We are incredibly fortunate in the western Cape especially since we are surrounded by so many fabulous wine farms.
I have three gorgeous pieces to giveaway and thought about how I might wear them this Heritage Day…
After a fun day out shopping in casual denim cutoffs and a simple black tank top I would add this multi-shaded green statement necklace as a stylish touch. The perfect look for going wine-tasting with friends! Avontuur in Stellenbosch has recently renovated their tasting room so why not pop in there. Otherwise grab a map of the wine lands and follow the icons to surrounding wine farms, after all there are so many places to explore so why not be a tourist in your own country and celebrate it’s heritage.
When I spotted this cuff in store I just knew that I had to include it in this giveaway. It has a lovely South African feel to it and would work wonderfully paired with a simple summer dress when going for a relaxing family lunch on a wine farm. Some of our top restaurants are located on wine estates. For a delicious relaxed family lunch Simon’s, which is on the Groot Constantia wine farm in Constantia is a firm family favourite.
These emerald earrings complete the perfect evening look. Throw on a simple lace LBD and these jewels and enjoy a meal watching the sun set over the vineyards.
I shot this image as the sun was setting at Lourensford farm in Somerset West. At the time the sun was such an intense orange that it looks like my hair is orange too!
So who wants to win these three pieces? Simply enter below… Good luck and I hope that you all have a fabulous Heritage Day!

Love the cuff; very on-trend… My #HeritageDay celebration started today at work in traditional dress with accessories in Venda and Ndebele beading. Tomorrow brunch with friend – traditional headgear and earrings will feature. Thursday going all out in a munwenda (Venda women traditional attire) – less modern this time. 🙂
Nice blog :*
Nice pieces!
