Tangle Teezer Review

Everything Beauty, Reviews By Sep 29, 2013

The Tangle Teezer has been around for quite a while now and is loved by many around the world. I could never see how it could be so different from any other brush and just couldn’t justify spending over R200 on a brush no matter how hyped about it is. However while in the UK, the Tangle Teezer’s country of origin, I decided to cave in and buy one for a far more reasonable price. Since my hair is fairly long at the moment the tangles have started appearing more and more after washing no matter what product I use and a handy brush to deal with them easily and pain-freely would be a massive plus right about now.

The Tangle Teezer can be used on wet hair and promises to not cause any breakage or damage to the delicate wet strands. It has the unique ability to flex and not pull when untangling. If you have long hair or even short hair that is prone to knots than this is the tool for you. It glides through ones hair and smooths it out in seconds without any pain or difficulty. I have since reached for it after every single wash and even use it on my dry hair as it is really compact and easy to carry around in ones handbag.

Is it worth spending R200 on? Well, yes and no. Yes if you have very long hair or dry damaged hair, my hair is quite thick as well and I find that the Tangle Teezer literally slides through and brushes out every strand which is a total blessing. If your hair is fine and dries quickly and easily then there is no real need for the Tangle Teezer other than the fact that it can prevent future damage caused from other brushes used while your hair is still damp.

Another plus for the Tangle Teezer is the vast array of colours and they also make excellent gifts for beauty-loving friends. I picked mine up in Pink Fizz which so pretty and bright that I can easily spot it in my handbag when my hair is in need of some taming. Currently Tangle Teezer is available from Rubybox Boutique for R229,95 or for other stockists you can check out the Hair Cair site.
