I recently attended a wonderful Dr Hauschka launch at the stunning De Grendel wine estate. Their restaurant had gone the extra mile by creating utterlyscrumptious sweet and savorycanapes inspired by the natural ingredients in DrHauschka products. For instance cinnamon swirls (cinnamon is used in many of their eye-shadows),rose water icing on carrot cake slices (theirbest selling rose day cream) and delicious black tea chocolate cakes (black tea is used as a naturaldye). We were fortunate enough to have the delightful KarimSattar demonstrating how to use the Dear Eyes limited edition products. In our goodie bags we received the new collection and I was thoroughly impressed.

Firstly how beautiful is the eyeshadow trios container, a stunning on trend rose gold. However Karim informed us that this was not done to just be trendy but was actually inspired by there headquarters in Berlin which has an entire roof made out of copper. Therefore the coppery rose gold shade is very special to the brand. The shades are divine and suit every women’s skin tone, they wanted a palette that was completely versatile. The champagne has a slight shimmer but is still matte and is ideal for highlighting. The chocolatey brown shade is silky smooth and flatters everyone but can also be used to fill in ones eyebrows. Finally the rosey pink is so pretty and is always my go-to shade for everyday use as it is neutral enough but also makes green and blue eyes pop. Did I mention that the eye-shadows contain rose geranium and smells absolutely divine! Rose geranium also has an antidepressant effect so is the perfect pick me up on a Monday morning!
The mascara has a big fluffy brush that glides wonderfully, I was very impressed by how much definition it provided as well as volume. Once again it also smells of roses!
Finally the most amazing kajal eyeliner I have used in a long long time…
As smooth as silk it glides on and if you are using it for defining your upper lid then just use the smudger and it blends in perfectly. If you prefer a long lasting eyeliner on your waterline then be sure to always set your eyeliner with a dark brown eye-shadow.
I had to throw in an image of the delicious sweet treats we were spoiled with!
