The Body Shop’s new global CSR campaign, Enrich not Exploit, embraces the socially and environmentally responsible principles upon which The Body Shop was built and supports the company in its aim to be the world’s most ethical and sustainable global business.
In order to support the Enrich not Exploit campaign you can purchase the regular or limited-edition 100ml Hemp Hand Protector for R130 and then vote in-store between 10 February and 31 May 2016 for the charity you think should benefit from the money committed.
For every tube purchased, R30 will be donated to a pre-selected charity in each of the following categories: our planet, our people and our animals. Once votes are counted and verified, each charity will receive a minimum of R50 000. The charity receiving the most votes will receive all additional funds raised.
The Body Shop has pre-selected the following charity organisations: Food & Trees for Africa (our planet), Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children (our people) and Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (our animals).
The Hemp range from The Body Shop is a highly successful one and a tube of the Hemp hand protector is sold every 9 seconds!!! Thanks to the high level of essential fatty acids which nourish the skin immensely, a 100ml tube contains the cold-pressed oil of 950 hemp seeds all packed with essential fatty acids.
“The balance of essential fatty acids in hemp seed oil works with the skin’s own oils to provide intense hydration to the body’s largest organ,” says Jennifer Hirsch, Beauty Botanist, The Body Shop.
The Body Shop will be adding two stunning new products to their Hemp collection; a new Heavy-Duty Body Moisture Protector (R170) which provides all-over 96-hour hydration for ultra-dry skin.
As well as a super cute Hemp Rescue Balm (R235) that provides instant targeted relief and protection for those really rough areas, such as elbows and knees. It also comes in the most adorable packaging, see above and below.
I totally love this!
