Crabtree & Evelyn Jojoba Oil Conditioner- I recently won this conditioner, I am a huge fan of Crabtree & Evelyn in general and adore their products. For some reason however when I think of hair products I tend to prefer salon or specific hair care companies as opposed to beauty product companies who then come out with a hair care line so if I had not won this I probably would never have gotten around to trying it.
Last week I discovered that my scalp was severely dry and suffering from all the excessive use of heated hair tools etc I had just received this conditioner so it really couldn’t have come at a better time…all I can say is wow! A total hair and scalp revival took place after just one use, my hair feels stronger and less dehydrated and my scalp feels less tense. I am thoroughly impressed with this product. I wouldn’t use it with every wash as I feel it may cause a slight build-up but definitely once a week during winter.
L’Occitane en Provence Immortelle Essential Face Water- This water smells amazing and is fabulous to keep in ones handbags and to take with you when travelling. Cape Town is currently experiencing bitterly cold temperatures so with air-cons cranked up super high I feel my skin dries out after a long work day so a spritz or two of this water really helps.
Miss Glam Nail Polish in Pretty French –Some days I don’t want a nail colour that is too loud or that may clash with certain outfits. I want a simple pretty colour but a french manicure tends to look dated so instead I opt for a pale, pastel pink. My favourite go-to Essie Pop Art Pink is near impossible to find these days and so i was contemplating trying their French Affair shade than whilst standing in the queue at Clicks I spotted this little cheapie in one of the bargain bins at only R14.95 I decided to try it out. The texture is quite goods, needs two coats to avoid a streaky look and doesn’t chip nearly as easily as some cheap ones do (I always use a base coat, Tip Top does a great one and then a clear polish over ,Essence does a really good clear polish R19.95). The colour is exactly what I wanted and makes me feel whimsical about Spring time.
Zambuk Cherry – I picked this up at the pharmacy counter while waiting for my flu meds because my lips were feeling so dry and it was shockingly only R4. I never expected to love it so much, the cherry smells just like those flat lollipops that came in long strips that I used to love as a kid also it really does moisturise ones lips and lasts long. Was relieved that it didn’t make my lips a strange red but it does have a very slight pigment to it.
