According to new global research conducted by Dove, only 10 percent of women are proud to reveal how old they are and will often conceal their real age. Now in all fairness I was quite surprised by this research as most women I know don’t feel the need to hide or lie about their age and are quite proud of whatever phase of life they are in. Perhaps I just am fortunate to know many strong confident women.
However, Dove is committed to a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety and they have created a short film, How Old Are You? to inspire women to celebrate their #BeautyAtEveryAge.
Dove believes that your age represents your life journey and each age has a story. They included a timeline of milestone examples and added a milestone from my Instagram which was when I passed my very challenging accounting exams. How sweet!
On the Dove page they also offer great tips on how to care for skin at every age, as we get older our skin’s needs change so it is important to change up your beauty and skincare routine in order to accommodate for these changes.
